Tax Credits for Donations:

Tax Credits for Federal Political Contributions are as follow:

$0 - $400 = 75% tax credit

Over $400 up to $750 = 50% tax credit

Over $750 = 33.3% tax credit

This means that a donation of $400 will cost only $100 after you get your tax credit.

Maximum annual contribution allowed under federal law: $1100

These tax credits are direct deductions on your tax payable at the end of the year.
